The Lapis® D lantern consists of a slate slab, an attached glass cylinder with surround and a pillar candle. There are four polished stainless steel balls in the base of the slate slab, which serve as scratch protection for the living room furniture. The base raises the slate slab by approx. 12 mm, giving it a floating impression.
 
The simple glass surround of polished stainless steel spheres on the top of the slate slab creates a beautifully shaped combination of ancient, crude stone material with stylistic elements of modern living room design.

Each slate panel has its own unique surface. The splitting and carving of the stone blocks creates rough surfaces and broken edges with an individual look and colour variation.
 
Slight deviations in dimensions, unevenness of surfaces and edges or mineral inclusions are normal and do not constitute a defect! They are evidence of the natural origin and individual manufacturing processes.
